I love doing crafts with my daughter, it’s a fun way to learn and spend some time together. Moreover crafting and making give us a sense of accomplishment and this will help build your child’s self-esteem.

So here is a small tutorial on how to transform a Pringles tube into a chic vintage style storage box.

You will need:

  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Paper shapers or cookie cutters
  • Scissors
  • A ribbon
  • Buttons
  • Glue
  • Tissue Paper
  • A pencil
Apply some glue on your Pringles tube and roll it over a tissue paper (remember to cut the tissue paper the same size as the Pringles tube).

My daughter had fun doing this.  I gave her a paintbrush to apply the glue to the box, also rolling the box over the tissue paper was really fun for her too. Use enough tissue paper to wrap twice around the tube.

Now cut a few shapes using your scrapbook paper. Glue and decorate.

Cut some paper the size of your lid and glue around. It can be a bit messy but my daughter enjoys glueing.

Glue a few buttons, add the ribbon and voila your Vintage style Storage box is ready.

We are using this to store her drawing crayons, however, I really liked the idea so I’m making one to store my craft materials.
