Etsy inspired me to become creative - My Etsy Wedding
Etsy did inspired me to become creative.
A few years ago I got married, while researching for affordable yet unique pieces for my special day, I came along Etsy website.
A whole new world opened to me, things that I had imagined but couldn’t find, beautiful creations gathered in one place. That's how everything started for me.
I had my wedding bouquet handmade by the lovely Mrs Hill at Bragging bags.
It’s a combination of my favorite etsy bouquets, it was tough choosing but I'm really happy with the result. Everyone were asking who made this. Chic, elegant and beautiful.
Another wonderful creation by Braggingbags
I really wanted some pinwheels to decorate the tables and the church. I loved something with a vintage note.
What I had in mind wasn’t available in the market so I researched and I tried to make some. That’s how the whole creative process actually started for me. I felt so nice when I made a few, however with a baby and all the wedding and christening preparations(yes we had the christening the same day after the wedding) I had no time for pinwheel making.
For the flower girls I’ve ordered some wonderful headbands to match the dress and the whole theme from MeTutu, Sharlene was really helpful in making them in time.
I wanted to avoid having many flowers on my hair. I prefered something smalland elegant. Here’s what I went with. Heather and Laura at FeatherRiverBoutique made this wonderful creation with clips especially for me. It looked great.
The cake was simple but it had a little touch of cuteness with these wonderful cake toppers from CountrySquirellsRUS.
Our wedding crowns were handmade by Lena from Lenaweddings. We wanted something simple with a natural feeling. This lady also wrote our names and wedding date in calligraphy on the case which I think it's a wonderful extra touch.
Etsy is a wonderful place to discover creative people, ideas, solutions and creations that you will not find on the high street. Moreover, it’s a place of inspiration where new things are happening.
Although I don’t sell my creations, I love to support people who make handmade items. I might find my niche and become an Etsy Seller at some point but for now whenever I want something unique I visit Etsy.
Sometimes we all need a sparkle to start something unique. Be unique , create and be happy.
